A huge weekend of success at the NSW Junior Regionals for Hornets Touch, with outstanding performances across all divisions and a strong reflection of the depth and culture within our junior program.

We are incredibly proud to finish the tournament as Overall Regional Champions, a result that speaks to the consistency, effort and development across every team in our pathway.

On the field, our teams delivered at the top end of competition with:

  • Champions: 18G, 16B
  • Runners Up: 18B, 16G, 14G, 14B

Across every grade, our players showed resilience, growth and competitiveness, with multiple teams pushing deep into finals and representing the Hornets jersey with pride.

A special highlight of the weekend was the announcement of our 2026 Junior Club Captains.

Male Junior Club Captain — Brodie White
Seven years in our junior representative program, Brodie has grown through every stage of the Hornets pathway and is now part of our senior Men’s 20s program, including back-to-back National Championships. His leadership is defined by consistency, effort and a commitment to improving every day. Brodie leads through actions first, setting standards for those around him.

Female Junior Club Captain — Anika McCarthy
Also a seven-year product of the junior representative program, Anika now plays a key role in our Women’s Open senior pathway and has represented both NSW and Australia at youth level. She embodies what it means to grow within Hornets — built on leadership, commitment and a genuine passion for the game.

We also celebrate an outstanding number of NSW Merit Team selections, recognising the talent and potential across our age groups:

14G: Rachel Gilmour, Sophie Stoddart, Maebel Colley, Isabella Crouch

14B: Billy Moule, Mylz Taufua, Elvis Nathan, Charlie Miclat, Patrick Hancock, Jayden Harvey

16G: Molly Fitzhenry, Amelia Hancock, Jarrah Young, Malisi Darcy, Hannah Peterson

16B: Cruz Elers, Ezekiel Hay, Kruze Thompson, Finn Carlson, Jai Donnelly, Tarak Haouchar

18G: Isla Bassingtwaighte, Breanna Rawlins, Evie Walkaden, Anika McCarthy, Amelia Carr, Bridie Richards

18B: Darcy Campton, Tyler Graham, Noah Carlson, Jed Dorn, William Doherty

This is a program-wide achievement built on players, coaches, volunteers and families working together. From development squads through to open divisions, the culture continues to strengthen year on year.

Proud of everyone involved — and excited for what comes next in the Hornets pathway.
